The Jefferson Room
The Jefferson Room is named in tribute to our famous neighbor and forefather, Thomas Jefferson, third President of the U. S. Located on the first floor of the inn just off the living room area, the Jefferson Room proves most popular with our guests year after year. A small library bookshelf in the room features many items that give a glimpse into Jefferson’s rich legacy.
The tasteful ivory and cranberry floral décor complements the queen-sized canopy bed, empire dresser and period settee. The Jefferson Room overlooks the front and side yards, and includes a private porch set with two chairs under a large hemlock tree, where guests can quietly enjoy the inn’s signature coffee.
On many days, guests may spot white-tailed deer, chipmunks and the occasional woodchuck visiting the side yard. One of our larger guestrooms, the Jefferson Room has a private renovated bath, a heated tile bathroom floor (in winter) with a tub shower, and a pedestal sink.
Plush towels and bathrobes are placed in every room, and heirloom oriental rugs decorate the hardwood floor. This room can be set up to accommodate a third person.
